The system provides stakeholders with enhanced visibility and transparency, making real-time tracking and monitoring of cargo movements available.
It incorporates automated regulatory compliance checks to streamline operations and ensure adherence to industry standards.
Cargo handlers and integrators currently use separate IT systems for data collection, reporting and transmission to the airport and authorities, which results in parallel or double data communications.
József Kossuth, Cargo Director at Budapest Airport, says the airport is on track to be the main cargo hub for central and eastern Europe with the development of the BUD Cargo City.
In 2023, the airport handled 201,306 tons of cargo, 48.5% higher than 2019.
