National flies humanitarian aid to Ukraine

Europe Airlines
National Airlines and Brother’s Brother Foundation (BBF) have delivered 17 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Ukraine for injured soldiers.

The aid, which included sleeping bags, quilts, clothing, generators and other critical items were flown from the US to Poland in a Boeing 747-400F.

From there, the cargo was moved by road to Ukraine for distribution among military hospitals and rehabilitation centres for injured soldiers in the Kyiv, Lviv and Vinnytsia areas.

The National Air Cargo global team arranged the final mile delivery by coordinating customs requirements, with cargo being transported on specially designated trucks.

Christopher Alf, Chairman of National Air Cargo Holdings, says, “We are deeply grateful for the leading initiative by Brother's Brother Foundation in organising the much-needed support in the region. National has been actively partnering with several organisations and governments to deliver timely humanitarian aid and relief to the crisis hit regions over the last three decades.”

Ozzy Samad, President of BBF, adds, “We could not be more appreciative of National Air Cargo Group's generosity in assisting those in dire need in Ukraine. The team's commitment and responsiveness to the humanitarian crisis is truly commendable.”
