The East African Maritime Awards are an initiative of the Kenya Ports Authority in partnership with other stakeholders in the Port of Mombasa. The awards, which were launched on July 2018, attracted entrants from the East African Region who provide various port services.
During the awards ceremony, Siginon Group Emerged the winner as the Best Cargo Transporter, and runner-up in the Best Regional Cargo Logistics Provider and Safety Award. While receiving the awards, Job Kemboi, Siginon's Global Logistics General Manager, said: “The win is a great motivator for the entire Siginon team. The recognition by Kenya Ports Authority as our regulator and other Port of Mombasa stakeholders has reinforced our commitment to nurture excellence and growth in the Port and in the region.”
Siginon Group also won the 2018 Business Excellence Award from the East African Business Council for being the Best East African Company in the Transport and Logistics Sector as well as Kenya Revenue Authority's 2018 Most Supportive Air Cargo Handler award.
