Alliance Ground International (AGI) has opened a 76,000 square foot off-airport air cargo facility for import freight near Newark Liberty International Airport.
The facility, five minutes from the airport in New Jersey, has 19 cargo bay doors, active ULD charging stations, ULD storage and cold storage, pharma handling areas, increased security and access to major highways.
Export cargo handling at Newark has been moved to a 24,000 square foot facility with the cargo handler operating a dual-facility service.
Import cargo will be trucked to the off-airport facility by an AGI in-house shuttle service to connect cargo handling at the two facilities.
AGI has committed to long-term lease agreement for the facilities, in addition to the 120,000 square foot Priority Mail facility in South Kearney, New Jersey, operated by sister company Cargo Force.
