American Airlines increases transatlantic capacity

American Airlines Cargo is adding transatlantic services between key European cities and major US destinations.

From London’s Heathrow Airport, the airline is offering direct flights to Boston Logan, Charlotte Douglas, Dallas/Fort Worth, New York John F. Kennedy, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago O’Hare, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Raleigh-Durham and Seattle-Tacoma airports.

Supporting the Spanish market, American Airlines is offering direct services from Madrid-Barajas to Dallas/Fort Worth, New York JFK, Miami and Philadelphia, and Barcelona-El Prat is benefiting from direct flights to New York JFK and Miami.

In France, Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport has direct Dallas/Fort Worth, New York JFK, Miami, Chicago O’Hare and Philadelphia flights, and German customers have direct connects to Charlotte from Frankfurt and Munich, and additional Frankfurt – Dallas/Fort Worth services.

American is connecting the Italian airports of Milan Malpensa and Rome Fiumicino with direct New York JFK and Philadelphia flights.

Elsewhere in Europe, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Dublin Airport and Zurich Airport are retaining Philadelphia services.

Emma Oliver, Sales Director – EMEA and APAC at American Airlines Cargo, says, “We continue to see demand for our capacity to the US, as we have many customers wanting to move their cargo across our domestic network and beyond to Latin America or Asia.”
