This digital tool allows the air cargo supply chain to check compliance of the Shipper’s Declaration for Dangerous Goods against all relevant rules and regulations contained in the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations. It also plays a strategic role in the dangerous goods handling transformation process, since it enables electronic consignment data to be received directly, supporting the digitisation process of cargo supply chain.
The main aim of this digital tool is to improve the dangerous goods handling procedures in order to avoid efficiency errors, increased costs and knowledge gaps, reduce the number of global regulations to implement and comply with and finally to reduce the time needed to properly check dangerous goods documentation and packages. The proper training of personnel and adequate facilities are also considered key elements to ensure a safe and timely transportation service.
