DHL Aero Expreso goes to next level with ALTA membership

DHL Aero Expreso is expanding to the next level by joining the Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA).

Starting operations in 1996 in Panama City, it has expanded with the DHL Express division in the Americas, providing capacity mainly for the e-commerce sector.

In Panama, DHL Aero Expreso has its main base at Tocumen International Airport and operates a fleet of Boeing aircraft.

It has added services between Panama, the US and Chile with a Panama-Miami-Santiago route.

Flights between Miami and Sao Paulo’s Viracopos have opened, benefiting customers who ship between Asia, North America and Brazil by providing better connectivity between Brazil and Central America through connections in Colombia.

Pablo Rousselin, Executive Director and General Manager of DHL Aero Expreso, says, “Our focus is to continue to develop in the Americas. To do so, ALTA and its members are an integral part of the strategy, opening opportunities and creating new relationships while collaborating with friend companies, cutting-edge entities, and authorities open to facilitate the development of our industry.”

José Ricardo Botelho, Executive Director and CEO of ALTA, adds, “DHL has high standards of customer service in the field of export and import of goods and supplies, is a company that adapts to market changes and wants to continue growing in Latin America and the Caribbean, so we are delighted to start working together on important initiatives to improve operating conditions in the region and generate benefits for the countries and the population.”
