PALLITE, a UK-based sustainable packaging company, raised over £620,000 in the first week of its Crowdcube campaign.
PALLITE is an award-winning designer and manufacturer of lightweight, strong and environmentally-friendly paper pallets that offer significant cost savings and environmental benefits over traditional plastic and wooden alternatives.
The products are up to 83% lighter than traditional wooden and plastic alternatives. This reduces emissions in transit by up to 37% and reduces company costs. Furthermore, the pallets reduce resource use. They are made of 80% recycled paper and are 100% recyclable; it has been calculated that replacing every new wooden pallet made in the UK in 2016 with a PALLITE equivalent would have saved over 600,000 trees. Finally, their special honeycomb structure means they can hold up to 1.2 tonnes without problem.
