Qatar Airways and Virgin add capacity in Australia

Qatar Airways Cargo and Virgin Australia have signed a new partnership to increase capacity to and from Australia.

From June, Virgin Australia will operate daily Boeing 777 flights which will connect Sydney, Brisbane and Perth with Doha.

The flights will offer 29 tonnes each way from Perth, 30 tonnes from Brisbane and 21 tonnes from Sydney.

In December, Virgin Australia will add daily B777 flights from Melbourne with Qatar Airways.

Qatar Airways offers more than 240 tonnes of belly capacity a week with connections to Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth.

Virgin Australia’s flights will take weekly capacity to more than 400 tonnes.
