AFKLMP flies solar car for Sasol Solar Challenge

Air France KLM Martinair (AFKLMP) Cargo has transported the Dutch Brunel Solar Team’s solar car to Johannesburg for the Sasol Solar Challenge.

The Nuna 11s was flown from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol on Saturday 6 August on a Boeing 747 Freighter powered by sustainable aviation fuel, reducing the carbon footprint of the flight.

The Dutch Brunel Solar Team are made up of students from Delft University of Technology, and AFKLMP is their logistics partner, transporting the Nuna 11s from the Netherlands to South Africa and back again.

This year’s Sasol Solar Challenge will start in Johannesburg on Friday 9 September and end on Friday 16 September in Cape Town.
