AirBridgeCargo Airlines and ATRAN Airlines, air cargo carriers within Volga-Dnepr Group, have organised dedicated charters to transport much-needed medical equipment from Moscow to Krasnoyarsk on behalf of the Moscow government.
Within two days three freighters delivered masks, beds, mattresses, and artificial respiration units onboard Boeing 747-8F and Boeing 737-800BCF aircraft to Krasnoyarsk. The cargo was further trucked to Kyzyl to equip the National Hospital No.1 of the city. .
Both carriers have refocused their operations to transport as much medical equipment to various regions of the world as possible. During the first six months of 2020, AirBridgeCargo and ATRAN Airlines have flown over 20,000 tonnes of dedicated healthcare cargo to combat COVID-19 and eliminate its spread.
