AMI opens branches in Pakistan

Airfreight wholesaler Air Menzies International (AMI) has expanded its global presence by opening branches in the Pakistani cities of Lahore and Karachi.

The branches are the 25th and 26th locations in AMI’s global network, giving AMI access to 2 of Pakistan’s high growth industrial centres.

The Karachi branch is near to Jinnah International Airport, the busiest airport in Pakistan pre-pandemic, and Lahore branch is near Allama Iqbal International Airport.

Both branches offer a variety of wholesale services including door-to-door services for import and export shipments, exports with consolidation and Back2Back, Click2Ship, x-ray screening and warehouse services, and customs clearance and documentation support.

The branches will be led by Nadeem Ahmed, Country Manager, who has previously worked for DHL Global Forwarding, flydubai Cargo, Network Cargo Service and Agility Logistics.

Jonathon Clark, CEO of AMI, says, “We have chosen two cities with huge potential and healthy projected economic growth of at least 5% over the next few years in both Karachi and Lahore. Looking ahead, this gives us huge confidence in a buoyant regional marketplace, where we can offer our renowned leading global freight forwarding and related logistics services.”
