AirBridgeCargo Airlines has been awarded the Bembel prize.
The prize is presented by Frankfurt Cargo Services every year to acknowledge the best performers in the air cargo industry handled by FCS at Frankfurt airport.
The carrier, which has transported over 120,000 tonnes of cargo to and from Frankfurt airport during 2020, managed to achieve over 5% increase in volumes and contributed to overall FCS growth, despite challenging market situation and disruptions in scheduled operations during the springtime, thus winning the first place for most cargo volumes carried in 2020.
Diana Schoeneich, Senior Director European Region at AirBridgeCargo Airlines, commented: "We would like to thank our longstanding partner for acknowledgement and this nice tradition, which has been kept for so many years. With ABC being among the winners since 2009, we are grateful to FCS for our successful partnership and support, especially during the pandemic. Delivering much-needed cargo has been a challenging task in 2020 but thanks to the teamwork, aligned internal processes and commitment of our personnel, we have managed to continue supporting our European customers, as well as have contributed to the battle against the COVID-19 spread in Germany, while carrying over 4,000 tonnes of dedicated cargo."
