On March 8, Geert Aerts will succeed Steven Polmans as Director Cargo & Logistics at Brussels airport.
With his extensive management experience in a global company, his knowledge of aviation and his experience with working in a complex environment with many stakeholders, Brussels airport found Aerts to be the most suitable candidate to continue the strong cargo strategy of recent years and to further develop Brucargo, in close co-operation with the cargo community.
With his background as industrial engineer, Aerts has been active in aviation for 17 years at CAE, where he has been Regional Operations Director Europe, Africa & Middle-East since 2014. At CAE he was responsible for the management of a network of 16 flight simulator training centres and flight schools in this region, including facilities at Brussels airport.
