Havas GDP-certified in pharma transportation

Havas has obtained the European Union Good Distribution Practices certificate following comprehensive audits at the company’s warehouse in Istanbul airport.

GDP certification audits compliance to the international quality standards in air cargo transportation for temperature-controlled products.

The new accreditation certifies Havas' special storage areas and cargo acceptance procedures, transportation between warehouses and handling processes at the company’s 10,000-square-metre warehouse at Istanbul airport, where it operates special, climate-controlled storage rooms and reefer trucks for perishable cargo.

Said Havas' General Manager, Mete Erna: "The GDP (Good Distribution Practices) certificate, which we have been granted for our warehouse in Istanbul, is an indicator that Havas provides high-quality and safe service at international standards during the cargo operations regarding pharmaceuticals and perishable cargos, which require cold storage.

"We provide the most suitable conditions at every stage of the operation chain, including acceptance procedures, transfer between the warehouses, handling processes, for pharmaceuticals, perishable cargos such as medical products and food that require protection of the cold chain; and carry out storage and transportation processes with cutting-edge technological equipment."
