Keen elected Secretary General of FIATA Presidency

Director General of the British International Freight Association, Robert Keen has been elected Secretary General of the Presidency of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA).

Keen joined the industry in 1970 and joined BIFA in 1999. He was appointed Executive Director of BIFA in 2009 and became Director General in 2014.

He has been chair of FIATA’s Multimodal Transport Institute and a member of FIATA’s Extended Board for several years.

Keen has been replaced as the chair of the former by Mark Bromley from Allways International Freight Forwarding.

Commenting on his appointment, Keen says: “My election comes at a time in which FIATA is conducting a comprehensive Reset Programme and I look forward to helping the association to build on the excellent work that has already been achieved.”
