Lufthansa Cargo has taken delivery of another Boeing 777 Freighter as it prepares to expand its long-haul network for the winter schedule.

The newest 777F will enter service at the end of August as Lufthansa Cargo gets ready for the 2022-23 winter flight schedule, when it will have 78 weekly 777F rotations.

On Asian routes, 38 weekly connections will be available including adding Hanoi to the network with two flights a week from Frankfurt via Mumbai from the beginning of November.

The Hanoi services will double Lufthansa Cargo’s presence in Vietnam, adding to twice weekly services to Ho Chi Minh City from Frankfurt via Bangkok.

Services from Frankfurt to Seoul via Kansai will increase from 3 to 4 a week, and the frequency of flights to Hong Kong will increase from 4 to 5 a week.

Lufthansa Cargo will operate 34 weekly rotations between Europe and North America, increasing Frankfurt to Mexico City services from 5 to 6 a week, and flights to Chicago O’Hare from 7 to 8 a week.

South America will be served by 4 weekly routes and there will be 2 weekly connections to Tel Aviv and Cairo using B777Fs.

Vietnam in particular is a clear growth market and I am very pleased that we are establishing a new station there and can thus offer our customers an attractive range of quality cargo transport services to this region.”
