Navia expands network with acquisition of Keys

Melbourne-headquartered Navia has purchased Perth-based Keys Freight and Logistics, expanding its network to four Australian cities and offices in key global locations.

Keys was founded in 2015 and its core business is logistics, arranging the transportation and clearance of commercial cargo including e-commerce, and it also provides Customs clearance, warehousing and inter-state transport services.

Navia, which has domestic bases in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, and overseas operations in Auckland, Chicago, Penang and Budapest was formed in 2003 and has a strong focus on tech-based solutions for customers.

Its NaviaHub platform includes apps and dashboards providing customers with online bookings, tracking and supply-chain metrics.

Cos Breglia, founder of Keys says: “Keys Freight identified that both technology and scale are necessary to support its future growth. Navia meanwhile has a world-beating technology suite, as well as the scale of a larger entity. Navia had voiced ambitions to enter the Western Australian market, and it quickly became apparent that Keys Freight joining the Navia network would provide the solutions both companies desired.”

Simon Borg, CEO and Founder of Navia says: “With Navia’s technological capabilities, the core values we share and the complementary skills and abilities of the combined businesses, this expansion will turbocharge our growth in this and other markets. It will also provide our staff with exciting opportunities to advance their careers within an expanded organisation.”
