The Cargospot app was developed by CHAMP Cargosystems, allowing Swissport to record every step of the warehousing process, and real-time visibility lets customers keep track of their shipments according to Cargo iQ standards.
It allows Swissport workers to monitor and steer warehousing processes with real-time visibility, and cargo is traceable through timestamps with exact locations.
Built-in safety mechanisms create an additional barrier to make sure incompatible shipments remain separated at all times.
As staff monitor and register air cargo, Swissport says several manual processes can be eliminated and administration is simplified.
The application has been rolled out in Helsinki, Basel, Hamburg, Manchester and Frankfurt, and will be introduced at locations across Africa, the US, the UK, Ireland, Spain, Belgium and the Netherlands.
