Work on DHL's new Riga facility begins

On June 10, construction of the regional complex for DHL Latvia was started at Riga airport.

It is understood that the centre will be among the most advanced express shipment handling and logistics centres in Baltics.

The agreements provide that with co-operation between the airport, logistics company DHL Latvia and real estate development and construction company SIA Castor Construction, a regional DHL shipment processing and logistics centre, covering a total area of 4,500 square metres, will be built at Riga airport during the coming year. The total planned investment is put at around €12m.

DHL Express will subsequently move to the new terminal at Riga and will have a new sorting facility that will allow for more efficient shipment handling, thus ensuring faster and more convenient delivery of shipments to its customers.
