FreightHub looks to Asia

FreightHub, a Germany-based digital freight forwarder, has raised US$30m in Series B financing.

The round was led by Rider Global, albeit with input from Maersk Growth, Northzone, Unbound, Rocket Internet’s Global Founders Capital and Cherry Ventures. The company has said that it will use the funds to continue to develop its digital service offering, as well as expand its business in Asia.

As a digital, asset-free freight freight forwarding service for sea, air and rail freight, it covers the entire process chain from quotation, booking and document management through to handling and supply chain data analytics.

The company, which also has offices in Hamburg, Cologne and Hong Kong, has a partner network of more than 1,000 shippers and more than 1,500 customers.
