Boeing to open more 737-800BCF conversion lines

Boeing will add more conversion lines for the 737-800BCF through a partnership with Taikoo (Shandong) Aircraft Engineering (STAECO).

The two conversion lines will be added at STAECO’s facility in Jinan, China with the first one opening in the first quarter of 2022 and the second one following by mid-year.

Once the two new lines open, STAECO will have seven 737-800BCF conversion lines.

Peter Gao, Vice President – Boeing Commercial Sales and Marketing for China says: “STAECO has exhibited the expertise and track record of delivering quality freighter conversions and will play a critical role in helping Boeing meet our customer commitments today and in the future.”

This year, Boeing announced it would add 737-800BCF conversion capacity at several sites including with existing supplier Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Company in China, and with new suppliers Cooperativa Autogestionaria de Servicios Aeroindustriales in Costa Rica, KF Aerospace in Canada, and Boeing’s London Gatwick MRO facility in the UK.
