CMA CGM AIR CARGO to launch transpacific flights

CMA CGM AIR CARGO will start transpacific services this summer using two Boeing 777-200Fs which will enter the fleet.

The B777-200Fs will be operated by Atlas Air with the first one scheduled for delivery in June to start transpacific services in anticipation of the peak season, flying to Hong Kong, Chicago and Seoul.

The second B777-200F will arrive in the fourth quarter and connect mainland China with North America.

A third B777-200F will be delivered next year to extend CMA CGM’s reach and available capacity.

CMA CGM is also the launch customer for the Airbus A350F, with the first of eight deliveries scheduled for 2026.

Damien Mazaudier, CEO of CMA CGM AIR CARGO called transpacific services a turning point in the company’s history, saying, “This lane opening will enable us to offer even more destinations to our customers on major routes. Today’s announcement represents a new step in the development of our business, which we aim to make global, and will take another step forward again in 2026 with the arrival of the A350F, the most environmentally friendly aircraft on the market.”

The new arrivals will join the two B777Fs and three Airbus A330Fs based at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport.

The B777Fs operate five flights a week to Hong Kong and four a week to Shanghai.

Two of the A330Fs are chartered for a third party and the third connects Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Mumbai and Guangzhou three times a week.
