DoKaSch Opticooler RKN receives FAA approval

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has certified the Opticooler RKN container produced by DoKaSch Temperature Solutions.

Approval of the compact RKN container follows certification of the larger Opticooler RAP.

Both containers are already being used on US routes by various non-US airlines and the FAA approval means that US-based airlines can have both Opticooler containers certified and validated.

Andreas Seitz, Managing Director of DoKaSch Temperature Solutions, says, “The FAA’s approval of the Opticooler RKN has been well received by the US pharma industry, as it can now also choose US-based airlines to utilise the RAP and RKN, depending upon its needs. This last gap in serving that market has been closed by DoKaSch TS extending its entire Opticooler fleet to all US-based airlines, enabling them to now also service their home market for international shipment.”

The RKN can hold one standard US pallet and both the RKN and RAP have redundant systems for electrification and full air-conditioning for precise heating and cooling without dry ice.

They are fitted with high performance batteries and require a power socket to be recharged.
