Freightos Data has launched the Freightos Air Index to provide pricing visibility, publishing data from the prior week.
Operating in a free open beta phase, it provides a headline index of pricing across global air cargo lanes, weighted based on trade lane activity, and price comparisons.
With freight rates at all-time highs, fluctuating prices and changing capacity are proving challenging for the air cargo industry, and Freightos Data, part of the Freightos Group says the index will provide transparency and support decision making.

The index is published each Sunday with data from the previous week.
