IAG Cargo reconnects Spain and the USA

IAG Cargo is reconnecting Spain with the USA by adding flights to several key markets.

The cargo division of International Airlines Group now has over 120 weekly connections between Spain and the USA, up 40% since March.

It is offering regular connections between Madrid and Los Angeles, Boston and Chicago, and twice daily flights to both New York and Miami operated by an Iberia A330.

Madrid is an important gateway for imports and exports, handling over 250,000 tonnes of cargo a year.

Popular commodities include fish from the Canary Islands, asparagus from Los Angeles and biomedical supplies, automotive parts, aircraft parts, textiles and fashion accessories.

IAG Cargo has also resumed Barcelona – Boston services, flying three times a week using an A330-200 operated by LEVEL.

Idoia Martinez, Regional Commercial Manager for Spain and Portugal at IAG Cargo says: “It is fantastic to be able to provide our customers with increased flights from Spain to the USA. It is such an important trade route, not only offering vital connections for our customers in Europe and the USA, but it also adds to our expansive widebody network across the globe.”
