Kales awarded first CEIV Pharma certificate for a GSSA

Kales Airline Services (KAS) has successfully completed the IATA CEIV Pharma certification process, becoming the first GSSA globally to attain the prestigious status.

It applies to KAS operations at airports in Italy, Belgium and Switzerland.

The IATA certification is a globally recognised standard designed to improve the handling and transportation of pharmaceutical products.

KAS said it reinforces its leadership and commitment to excellence in handling temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals.

Sebastiaan Scholte, CEO of Kales Airlines Services commented: “This is an important milestone as the first GSA ever to certify for CEIV Pharma. Pharmaceutical shipments are increasing, and it is important not only to have the certification, but also the knowledge and the right mindset to handle these shipments properly.

“We are proud to lead the way in raising the standards for GSSAs globally.”

Brendan Sullivan, Global Head of Cargo at IATA said: “The CEIV Pharma (Center of Excellence for Independent Validators in Pharmaceutical Logistics) programme, developed by IATA ensures that companies involved in the air transport and handling of pharmaceutical products meet the highest international standards for quality, safety, compliance and efficiency.

“With this certification, Kales Airline Services demonstrates its dedication to providing customers with reliable and compliant pharmaceutical logistics solutions, ensuring product integrity across the entire supply chain.”
