Within three months of appointment as the General Sales Agent (GSA), AVS GSA has secured the contract to be Oman Air’s GSSA, demonstrating the success of the new partnership.
Oman Air Commercial Cargo division is in its tenth year. It is hoped that AVS Malaysia’s experience and strong presence in the designated markets, will enable Oman Air to develop its activities and services, both in Malaysia and further afield to South East Asia.
AVS GSA recently became a subsidiary of ECS Group, which has been representing the Oman Air’s cargo business in Indonesia and Singapore for many years. AVS GSA is positioning itself as a major player in the GSSA sector in Malaysia and the new partnership will thus assist Oman Air to strengthen its position with two daily flights departing from Kuala Lumpur. The main routes to be marketed under the agreement are the Middle East for oil, gas and perishables and Europe for electronics, with an expected 7,000 tonnes of goods to be carried annually.
