Unilode and Saudia extend contract for 5 years

Unilode Aviation Solutions and Saudia Cargo have extended their ULD management partnership for another 5 year term.

Saudia Cargo awarded Unilode the supply and management contract in 2017, managing 21,000 containers and pallets.

Since 2017, Unilode has transitioned Saudia Cargo to new, 20kg lighter solid door containers, bringing significant fuel and carbon emission savings.

The new agreement will see Unilode replace the standard containers with lightweight units from its ULD pool.

Unilode will provide a strategic buffer stock during the Hajj period for hassle-free and efficient operations during the annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca.

Pro-active ULD management services and digital ULD solutions will help Saudia Cargo to increase visibility of the supply chain and realise additional e-commerce revenue opportunities.

Teddy Zebitz, CEO of Saudia Cargo, says, “We are pleased to renew our full-service ULD management partnership with Unilode Aviation Solutions as it has delivered significant benefits to our operations over the past five years and enabled us to enhance the services we provide to our passengers and cargo customers.”

Ross Marino, CEO of Unilode, adds, “Our renewed agreement is based on a more dynamic price modelling that enables Saudia Cargo to only pay for the ULDs they utilise whilst giving them peace of mind of ULD availability throughout their global network. We are committed to continuing to deliver outstanding service to Saudia Cargo over the next 5 years of our partnership.”
