WFS provides GEODIS with manpower in Paris

GEODIS has awarded Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) a manpower contract to supply cargo handling staff for its facility at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.

Starting this month, 28 WFS handling staff will operate GEODIS’ brand new 4,000 square-metre cargo facility, which is expected to handle up to 20,000 tonnes of cargo annually.

WFS will provide management and operations personnel as well as GSE equipment.

The team will be responsible for cargo reception, palletisation, security, dangerous good regulations checks, transferring cargo to airlines, documentation, and pharma handling.

WFS already provides GEODIS with similar services at Paris Orly, Lyon, Marseille, Montpellier, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Nantes and Strasbourg.

Laurent Bernard, VP Cargo France at WFS says: “WFS welcomes this opportunity to reinforce our partnership with GEODIS in France, and to be expanding our footprint at Paris CDG. This is also part of our continuing focus to support the cargo handling requirements of freight forwarders.”
