Accelya achieves full member status with Cargo iQ

Accelya has achieved full member status with Cargo iQ following joining initially as an associate member in 2007.

As part of this agreement Accelya will become a Cargo iQ Data Management Platform (CDMP) provider, bringing shipment movement visibility to airlines, and driving enhanced quality in the supply chain.

“As a leading software and technology provider to the Air Cargo industry, we are pleased to strengthen our commitment by developing our own Cargo Data Management Platform (CDMP-C),” said Prakash Sonpatki, SVP, Software Development, Cargo for Accelya. “This solution is built on event-based architecture, and with this platform, we are confident that we will continue to significantly contribute to our Industry’s quest towards enhancing its service quality and ultimately improving customer satisfaction and retention.”

Accelya join’s Cargo IQ’s 60+ members worldwide – including airlines, forwarders, GHAs, IT companies and airports – as part of the IATA-supported organisation’s mission to define the processes behind the air transport of cargo to measure success and continuously improve the value of airfreight for customers. Together they represent 12 million airport-to-airport shipments measured annually, four million door-to-door shipments measured annually, and annual data exceeding 110 million lines per year.

To maintain full member status, Accelya will undergo regular audits and must comply with the Cargo iQ Quality Management System requirements.

As a full member, Accelya will also participate and vote at Cargo iQ’s AGMs and Working Groups and will help to steer Cargo iQ’s strategy, nominate candidates for Board membership, and vote to elect Board members.

“By becoming a full member, Accelya gains access to Cargo iQ’s network of industry leaders, and we can work together to evaluate and define new industry standards, as well as receive regular training sessions to increase our own knowledge and technical abilities related to air cargo transportation,” said Lothar Moehle, Executive Director, Cargo iQ..
