Silk Way launches brands to shape logistics in Middle Corridor

Silk Way Group has launched two strategic brands to shape logistics in the Middle Corridor and make Azerbaijan a strategic logistics hub.

At air cargo Europe 2025, part of the transport logistic trade fair, which was held in Munich, Germany from 2-5 June, Silk Way Group launched SW AFEZCO (Silk Way Alat Free Economic Zone Company) and Alat Logistics Center.

SW AFEZCO is responsible for overseeing the construction, development and infrastructure planning within the Alat Free Economic Zone.

It is in charge of execution and regulatory alignment to ensure that the ecosystem meets international standards and investor needs.

Zaur Akhundov, President of Silk Way Group said: “We are building more than infrastructure — we are creating a future-ready, sustainable logistics hub that reflects Azerbaijan’s strategic location and economic vision. Our goal is to provide global partners with world-class logistics services and a gateway to emerging markets.”

The Alat Logistics Center is the logistics integrator within the Silk Way Cargo Village, providing multimodal transport solutions for air, rail and road services.

Located within the Alat Free Economic Zone and adjacent to the upcoming SW AFEZCO cargo airport, the Alat Logistics Center is designed to facilitate seamless cargo movements across Eurasia.

The Alat Logistics Center will host warehousing, freight consolidation, customs clearance and e-commerce fulfilment.
