The investment in KGW helps AGS to deepen its freight forwarding presence while leveraging KGW’s presence in the transpacific ocean freight sector.
KGW moves more than 10,000 TEUs to North America annually, which complements AGS’s freight forwarding, customs brokerage and warehousing services.
KGW also provides airfreight services as well as warehousing and distribution services for healthcare-related products and devices.
Combined with last-mile delivery company SpeedX, the partnership provides solutions from origin to last-mile.
The investment supports the vision of Chris Zheng, CEO of AGS, to build a $1 billion end-to-end supply chain solution infrastructure within 18 months following his acquisition of AGS in November.
Zheng says, “By combining our existing freight forwarding and brokerage capabilities, KGW’s ocean freight expertise, and SpeedX’s innovative last-mile solutions, we are creating an infrastructure that meets the demands of a globalised economy.”
Dato’ Roger Wong, Managing Director of KGW Group, adds, “This strategic alliance marks an exciting chapter for us. With AGS’s extensive air freight and customs expertise and SpeedX’s innovative last-mile delivery capabilities, we are redefining the logistics experience for our clients.”
