Air Austral and Unilode renew partnership

Air Austral and Unilode Aviation Solutions have renewed their ULD management contract until 2026.

Unilode, which has been managing ULDs for the Reunion-based French airline’s since 2016, will supply lighter weight and more durable digitalised containers to reduce fuel usage and CO2 emissions for its 5 widebody aircraft.

Joseph Brema, CEO of Air Austral, says, “The new digital containers supplied by Unilode will help us reduce our carbon footprint and save on fuel costs, an environmental issue to which Air Austral is particularly sensitive. Our partnership has delivered the expected results over the past 6 years, and we have been especially pleased with Unilode's commitment, presence and focus on meeting our expectations.”
