American Airlines adds transatlantic capacity

American Airlines Cargo is adding transatlantic capacity for the summer with direct services between key European cities and US gateways.

Services will operate to New York John F. Kennedy, Dallas Fort/Worth, Boston Logan, Los Angeles, Miami, Philadelphia, Chicago O’Hare, Raleigh-Durham and Charlotte Douglas.

A new route between Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and London’s Heathrow Airport will open this summer.

The routes will be operated using Boeing 777 and 787s.

Major European cities with US services include Amsterdam, Paris, Frankfurt, London and Milan, among others.

Andy Cornwell, Regional Cargo Sales Manager for Northern Europe says: “We continue to see strong demand for all kinds of cargo including automotive parts, perishables and life science products including pharmaceuticals. With the number of flights growing month on month our European customers are continuing to take advantage of our extensive trucking network to send freight on the direct flights which best suit their needs. They can also benefit from the comprehensive onward network we offer from our US hubs.”

WebCargo users based in Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and the UK can search and book direct flights to the US and beyond on American Airlines Cargo, and access on the platform will be expanded in the coming months.
