American Airlines Cargo upgrades pharma services

American Airlines Cargo is expanding pharma services with a dedicated suite of Life Sciences products and extending CEIV Pharma certification.

The Life Sciences suite offers services for time-sensitive shipments with the Priority Parcel Service (PPS) and ExpediteFS services offering benefits including next-flight booking options, priority boarding and the shortest tender times.

They are customisable, offering different monitoring and handling services based on the level of handling required.

American Airlines is now CEIV Pharma certified at Dallas/Fort Worth, Miami and Philadelphia airports, with several others expected to join the network later this year.

Jessica Tyler, President Cargo and Vice President Operations Innovation and Delivery at American Airlines says: “This dedicated product suite for Life Sciences, as well as our continued investment in our cold chain capabilities, is testament to our commitment to this critical market and the people behind it.”

American Airlines has also added two new cooler spaces at New York’s John F. Kennedy airport including a Controlled Room Temperature ranging from 15-25C and a Refrigerated cooler for 2-8C.
