The new directors, who have 57 years of experience between them, have been appointed as ASM commits to enhancing the user experience of Sequoia, its Customs clearance software through increased functionality and customer support.

The board consists of nine members who are responsible for overseeing ASM’s 2024 strategy and finance operations and ensuring ASM delivers the service needed by the UK’s freight forwarding industry.

Sharon Greer, General Manager of ASM, says, “This year, we are in a strong position to prioritise developing Sequoia in line with what our users want, in addition to helping users navigate Customs and Brexit-related changes in regulations.”

Commenting on the new directors, Greer adds, “With their industry insight and knowledge, our three new directors are well-placed to help align our business development with what our users want from Sequoia, rather than what they need in order to be compliant with the changing Customs legislation and systems.”

David Baker is Managing Director of The George Baker Group and has more than 18 years of experience providing customs brokerage services.

Stuart Campey has been CEO of Customs Clearance Ltd for the last decade and worked across customer services, new business sales, accounts management and operations, and is experienced in operations management in the freight industry.

Dave Allen is the Import Manager at Dynamic International Freight Services and has worked in the import business for over 28 years.

ASM is on a recruitment drive in 2024 to improve software development and customer support as the freight industry works towards NCTS Phase 5 and the switch to CDS exports.
