The route is operated on behalf of Perth-based AUS Air Cargo, an Australian start-up led by Astral Aviation’s Commercial Director for the UAE, Satvir Kalsi.
The inaugural flight – undertaken by a Boeing 767-300ER(BDSF), registration 5Y-SVR – took off on 27 May, and marked what Astral Aviation described as an important expansion of its global footprint.
The new service enhances air cargo flows for time-sensitive and high-value shipments across Australia and North Asia, including perishables and pharmaceuticals.
Astral Aviation has hubs in Nairobi, Johannesburg, Liege and Dubai, and now operates cargo services to more than 50 destinations.
In addition to B767-300ERs, the company’s fleet also includes B737-400F (18 tonnes) and B767-200F (42 tonnes) aircraft.
