The lessor based in Saudi Arabia is starting with 10 freighters and 30 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft, and foresees orders increasing to 22 A350Fs and 55 A320neos.
The A350F has the largest main deck cargo door in the industry with fuselage length and capacity optimised around the industry’s standard pallets and containers.
Over 70% of the airframe is made from advanced materials, reducing take-off weight by 46 tonnes compared to comparable aircraft.
Airbus says the A350F is the only freighter that will meet ICAO’s enhanced CO2 emissions standards which come into effect in 2027.
Edward O’Byrne, CEO of AviLease said: “The addition of these latest generation aircraft enhances our ability to offer modern, fuel-efficient fleet solutions to our airline partners in Saudi Arabia and around the world.”
Benoit de Saint-Exupery, EVP Sales of Commercial Aircraft at Airbus added: “The A350F will set the benchmark in air cargo, offering at least 20% reduced fuel burn, better loading capacity and increased range.”
