DSV said the facility underlines its commitment to long-term investment in Belgium and its strategic positioning at the heart of European logistics.
Some 50% of the space in the energy-neutral warehouse is dedicated to healthcare logistics, offering fully compliant, temperature-controlled environments (2°-8°C, 15°-25°C and -20°C) for pharmaceuticals and life science products.
DSV Air & Sea Belgium Managing Director Natalie Segers commented: “This facility is a major milestone for us and a strong signal of DSV’s commitment to the Belgian market.
“Not only is it energy-neutral and strategically located, it’s also a key asset in our further growth towards dedicated healthcare logistics and other industry verticals.”
The DSV warehouse is the second new facility to open at Brucargo following, as reported, Nippon Express’s 10,000 sq m logistics facility, which was unveiled last month.
Brussels Airport CEO Arnaud Feist said: “With this second facility at Brucargo Central, Brussels Airport continues to shape a logistics ecosystem where partners like DSV can thrive.
“Through Brucargo Central, we are providing top-tier infrastructure that meets today’s operational needs and supports tomorrow’s ambitions, including dedicated capabilities for pharma.
“This investment reinforces Brussels Airport’s leading position as smart, sustainable and future-ready logistics hub in Europe.”
