Awery supports project to rebuild Antonov AN-225

Ukrainian technology company Awery Aviation Software has given its support to a project selling models of the iconic Antonov AN-225 Mriya, which will aid rebuilding Ukraine.

The models of the iconic AN-225, which was destroyed in the early days of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, was developed by Ukrainian start-up company, Metal Time.

Profits from the sale of the models will be donated to Antonov to rebuild the Mriya, rehouse employees whose homes were destroyed, and the education and training of new aviation engineers and pilots.

Vitaly Smilianets, CEO of Awery, says, “Awery cannot stand by when Ukrainian cargo aviation is destroyed economically and physically, and so it was an easy decision for us to help promote the initiative by communicating this great project as much as we can.”

He adds, “Since 1991, Ukraine has celebrated the 24th of August as its day of independence and so it couldn’t be more appropriate to launch this initiative today in our national bid to ensure that Antonov Aviation continues to be a major player in the project cargo international carrier market.”
