Aeronautical Engineers has confirmed that its customer, CargoAir, has successfully completed its first ferry flight of the AB737-800SF freighter.
The aircraft is now registered under the Bulgarian Civil Aviation Administration. This is the first B737-800SF freighter for CargoAir and will be flown to support a large European integrator through an upgraded existing route out of Cologne.
The AEI converted B737-800SF freighter offers a main deck payload of up to 52,700 pounds and incorporates eleven full height 88 x 125 inch container positions, plus an additional position for an AEP/AEH. The conversion also incorporates new floor beams aft of the wing box, together with a large 86 x 137 inch main cargo door with a single vent door system.
With the addition of the B737-800SF to its fleet, CargoAir has also introduced a new aircraft livery.
