Bert Selis joins Worldwide Flight Services

Bert Selis has joined Worldwide Flight Services as VP Business Development, E-commerce, Express and Freight Forwarders EMEA.

The newly created role is based in Liege, Belgium and Selis brings with him almost 20 years of aviation experience.

For the last nine years, Selis worked for Liege Airport, most recently as Vice President Cargo and Logistics, where he was responsible for the airport’s growth and attracting key players to Liege.

He started his career with former Belgian flag carrier Sabena and later moved to Swissport. He has also worked at logistics company H. Essers and international flight academy CAE.

Selis will report to Marc Claesen, Senior Vice President Commercial EMEAA, who says: “Over the past two or more years, WFS, as the world’s largest air cargo handler, has pivoted to meet the needs of the airline, freight forwarding, express and e-commerce sectors and this has created some exciting opportunities to grow our relationships with existing customers, and to engage in new ventures.”
