BIFA names shortlist for Freight Service Awards

The British International Freight Association has named the companies and individuals shortlisted for the 2022 Freight Service Awards.

26 freight forwarding companies have been shortlisted for the Freight Services Awards and 12 individuals for the Apprentice of the Year and Young Freight Forwarders categories.

The finalists will go forward to the final round of judging with winners due to be announced at the BIFA Annual Luncheon and Awards Ceremony on Thursday 19 January 2023 when football legend Kevin Keegan will host BIFA members and their guests.

The Air Cargo Services Award is sponsored by IAG Cargo, and the finalists are Deugro (UK), GEODIS Freight Forwarding UK, Mandarin Global Logistics, and Noatum Logistics.

TT Club is sponsoring the European Logistics Award, and the finalists are Brunel European, Ewals Cargo Care, NNR Global Logistics, and Westbound Logistics.

Port Express is sponsoring the Ocean Services Award, and the finalists are DG International Group, Ligentia UK, Mapcargo International, and Uniserve Group.

Cool and Special Cargoes Award is being sponsored by American Airlines Cargo, and the finalists are James Cargo Services, and Seafast Cold-Chain.

The Extra Mile Award is sponsored by Descartes, and the finalists are Anchor Freight, Coyote Logistics UK, Deugro (UK), and Unsworth UK.

The Project Forwarding Award is being sponsored by Macbeth incorporating Peter Lole Insurance Brokers, and the finalists are Deugro (UK), John Good Logistics, Ucargo, and Wallis Shipping Services.

Thyme-IT is sponsoring the Specialist Services Award, and the finalists are Channelports, Freight Logistics Solutions, Seafast Logistics, and Ucargo.

The Staff Development Award is being sponsored by Albacore Systems, and GEODIS Freight Forwarding UK, LV Shipping, Speedy Freight, and Uniserve Group are the finalists.

BoxTop Technologies is sponsoring the Supply Chain Management Awards, and the finalists are B&H Worldwide, Freight Logistics Solutions, Killick Martin & Co, and Ligentia UK.

The finalists in the Apprentice of the Year category – sponsored by Seetec Outsource, are Cameron Smith – Ligentia UK; Elliot Haldane – GEODIS Freight Forwarding UK; Jacob Kennerley – Cargo Overseas; Joel Amado – Aramex UK; Kelly Bell – John Good Logistics, and Thomas Low – OIA Global.

Virgin Atlantic Cargo is sponsoring the Young Freight Forwarder of the Year category, and the finalists are Thomas Frost, GEODIS Freight Forwarding UK, Dalya Henry, ITD Global; Kyle Lawrence, OIA Global; Jordan Prangnell, Ligentia UK; Jenna Speed, Kuehne + Nagel; and Cheryl Sullivan, Ucargo Pacific Logistics.”

Robert Keen, Director General of BIFA, says that since the last awards ceremony, BIFA members have continued to face and overcome challenges across all modes of transport.
