BIFA welcomes new members to Board of Directors

The British International Freight Association (BIFA) has welcomed three new members to its Board of Directors with the election of Denise Hill, Ian Mallon and Chris Packwood.

Hill joined BIFA’s secretariat as member engagement director in April last year to oversee and develop BIFA’s interaction with its membership about its services and how they are delivered.

Her background in commercial and relationship management will assist with the governance of BIFA’s work.

Mallon, Managing Director of Neon Freight, has over two decades of logistics and freight forwarding experience, which he will use to help BIFA navigate the complexities of the modern freight industry.

Packwood is Managing Director of Geodis UK and will use his understanding of operational and strategic aspects of the freight industry to support BIFA’s members through advocacy, training and industry leadership.

Steve Parker, Chairman of BIFA, says, “We are thrilled to welcome Chris, Denise and Ian to our Board of Directors. Their extensive experience and leadership in the freight forwarding industry will be instrumental in guiding BIFA’s strategic direction and supporting our mission to represent and promote the interests of UK freight forwarders.”

All three start their terms with immediate effect.
