Boto succeeds Sperl as CEO of EFW

Jordi Boto has succeeded Andreas Sperl as CEO of Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW).

He took over on 1 April, taking over from Sperl who has retired after more than 15 years of leadership.

Before being named CEO, Boto was COO responsible for ramping up production of freighter conversions since November 2020.

Praising Sperl as the architect of EFW joint venture between Airbus and ST Engineering, Jeffrey Lam, President of Commercial Aerospace at ST Engineering says: “Since then, EFW has grown from strength to strength and undertaken many challenges and new developments. With Jordi, who has over twenty years of experience in the aviation industry, taking over Dr Sperl, we look forward to him driving the future growth of the company, and taking it to greater heights.”

Boto has more than 20 years of aviation experience whose achievements include significantly increasing production at ATR, restructuring Power8 and turning around aerospace supplier, PFW Aerospace Speyer.
