Cargo iQ has updated its system to improve the visibility of a shipment’s journey.
A 'Visibility Map’ on the cargo data platform now appears when there is a shipment status update.
Until now a route map was only created if all flight details were available in advance. If segments remained missing, no route map would be available.
Other QMS improvements include Freight into Warehouse (FIW) and Freight out of Warehouse (FOW) milestones to the Route Map.
This means customers can track the shipment handover between the warehouse handler and the ramp handler.
“As Cargo iQ turns 25, we are focused on embracing digitalisation, for example by providing truck drivers with technical tools to send shipment status updates, as the path to a seamless and transparent supply chain,” said Lothar Moehle, Executive Director, Cargo iQ.
