CargoAi powers Air Europa Cargo eBooking platform

Air Europa Cargo has picked CargoAi’s CargoGATE solution to launch its own eBooking platform.

CargoGATE allows airlines to develop and maintain their own booking portals with freight forwarders able to search, book, track and pay for their shipments on Air Europa within minutes on the same interface.

The platform will be branded according to Air Europa Cargo’s guidelines with the technical maintenance being fronted by CargoAi, meaning customers will automatically benefit from all the latest features and improvements as they are added.

It will be complete with sustainability and financing features with payment functionality and CO2 tracking and reduction being powered by CargoAi’s recently launched CargoWALLET and Cargo2ZERO solutions.

Development is expected to take just under 6 months and the platform is scheduled for launch in the middle of the year.

Jordi Piqué, General Manager of Air Europa Cargo, says, “We chose to partner with CargoAi to accelerate our digital adoption as we were looking for a solution and partner that presented minimal IT investment, accelerated deployment, and low long-term maintenance requirements from our side. CargoGATE ticks those boxes. We tested their existing application which is user friendly, and we believe this user experience will drive efficiencies for our existing customers, and increase loyalty to the Air Europa Cargo booking experience.”

Matthieu Petot, CEO of CargoAi, says, “This partnership also allows the simultaneous benefit to have Air Europa Cargo schedules and capacity available on our digital marketplace application, CargoMART, allowing Air Europa Cargo to be booked by the 8000+ forwarders that we currently have on our digital marketplace.”
