The move will take place on 1 January 2024 with Dr Virmani continuing to play an important role in the company by focusing on strategy, strategic customer partnerships, acquiring assets, corporate governance and acting as a mentor for emerging talent.
The company says the move allows Dr Virmani to use his experience and industry knowledge to guide the board and senior leadership team.
Both Dhillon and Porteous have been with Cargojet since its inception in 2001, serving in a variety of roles.
Dhillon has led several functions including marketing, brand, government relations, human resources, legal, facilities, operational efficiency and commercial operations, leading to her current role of Chief Corporate Officer.
Porteous has served in roles including sales, customer relations, operations, network planning and design, and investor relations, and most recently as Chief Strategy Officer.
