cargo.one welcomes airBaltic Cargo to platform

airBaltic Cargo has joined cargo.one to make its capacity available to freight forwarders from this winter.

The cargo division of Latvia’s national airline will offer freight forwarders belly capacity on more than 100 routes throughout the Baltics, Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and the Caucasus.

From its main hub in Riga and additional bases in Tallinn, Vilnius, Tampere and seasonally in Gran Canaria, airBaltic Cargo flies into many airports with shorter runways.

Its fleet consists of 49 Airbus A220-300s and the airline plans to expand the fleet to 100 aircraft by 2030.

Joining cargo.one will give freight forwarders the opportunity to discover, quote, book and track capacity across airBaltic Cargo’s network.

Ilja Seliverstovs, VP Cargo at airBaltic, says, “Digital sales is a vital driver of our cargo growth plans. It makes every sense to leverage cargo.one to expand our market reach and sales, and ensure airBaltic Cargo services remain front of mind with thousands of forwarders using the platform daily.”

Moritz Claussen, Founder and Co-CEO of cargo.one, adds, “Forwarders rely upon cargo.one’s comprehensive global market view to discover, quote and book their air shipments, and the addition of airBaltic Cargo capacities will provide a strong option for many.”

Freight forwarders will be able to use cargo.one to book capacity for general cargo, perishables and temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical shipments across airBaltic’s network this winter.
